MassHealth, Social Security, Veteran’s Administration, and the Massachusetts departments of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities provide invaluable services and benefits to eligible individuals. We assist our clients with applications, eligibility reviews, and representation at appeal hearings to assure they receive any supports, benefits or services to which they are entitled due to age, illness or disability.
MassHealth is the Massachusetts version of Medicaid, a government health-insurance program. This is a tremendous benefit for individuals who require government assistance with medical expense both in the community, and in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes. The process of completing applications for MassHealth can be overwhelming and can extend over months. With our help, our clients submit successful applications and annual eligibility reviews.
The United States Social Security Administration provides benefits for individuals who, through no fault of their own, are unable to support themselves and to provide for their basic needs. The SSA also oversees the Medicare program, which provides medical insurance for retired or disabled individuals. Too often, people are unable to secure the benefits to which they are entitled and may feel hopeless about their future. The support provided by Social Security Administration benefits may allow an individual to develop the skill they need to begin or return to gainful employment. Or it may provide basic support to a person who is disabled and unable to earn wages for self-support.
